In any website the most important thing to consider is the user experience and this fully depends on the page performance. So the page performance and user experience are very much related to each other. The biggest factor that affects page performance is the page load time. Now question rises that what is page load time- “Page load time is the time duration between the request sent to the server by clicking the link and displaying the content from the webpage. Except this page load time affects so many crucial factors of a website like user experience, page views and conversion rate.

More than 25 percent visitors leave the website if it takes more than 4 seconds to display the page. Now we can assume that how significant is to consider the page load time.  And this is more important for mobile users as 76 percent mobile users leave the website if the website take more than 5 seconds to load. The Page load time is must to consider  for eCommerce websites because it is like a shop and if a shopkeeper takes time then then the costumer will go to the other shop. Now you would be thinking that what should be the page load time for a website then according to Google discovery the website should not take more than 0.4 seconds to load any content.

What are the factors responsible to increase page load time-

Now the question comes that what are the reasons which are responsible for the increased page load time.  So the factors that affect website’s page load time are

1.    Poor web hosting service

2.    The bandwidth being stolen

3.    Too many plugins and widgets

4.    Too many Ads

5.    Incompatible multimedia

6.    Large Page Size

Except these reasons there are many things which are more common to increase the page load time. But there are some solutions that could be applied to decrease page load time-

1.    Image optimization- Images on any website should be optimized and there are so many ways to optimize images which are described below-

(a)  Format Selection- Format of any image should be selected according to priority like if we want a quality image then JPG images should be used. And if image needs text, signs, logos, illustration then use PNG. And BMPS and TIFFS should be given the least priority.

(b)  Proper Sizing- It is a well known thing that more page size takes more time so the size of the page should be less and this can be achieved by decreasing the image size.

(c)  Compression- The best way to decrease the size of any image is to compress the image.

(d)  Use Tools- If we talk about WordPress then we can make use of tools like  EWWW Image Optimizer, CW Image Optimizer, Lazy Load and WP Smush. These tools will be the simplest way to optimize images.

(e)  Use Plugins- For word press, there some plug-ins are available like JPEG Reducer and Radical Image Optimization Tool (RIOT), Smashit.

2.    Optimize Coding- CSS, HTML, java script code and delivery- ideal page size of a page used to be 30 kb but at this time a website includes  graphics, content, images, code so this is not possible to keep the page size 30kb. The popularity of CSS and JavaScript makes the page size more than 30 kb. So the CSS and JAVA script should be minified.  For word press use tools Autoptimize, Better WordPress Minify and the world’s favorite, W3 Total Cache.

3.    Optimize Database-   There are so many things in CMS of any website like unnecessary content and garbage. Garbage that includes Comments in the spam queue, Unapproved comments, Post revisions, Trashed items such as posts and pages.

4.    Switch to Managed Hosting- It includes optimization of various things like-

(1)  Performance optimization – compression, code minification, server-side caching, etc.

(2)  Leverage Browser Caching - With the help of this feature when the page is saved in the cache memory then if the user requests for the same page then the page will be displayed in lesser time than expected.

(3)  Content Optimization- Content optimization includes optimization of images, control garbage etc.

(4)  Regular Software Updates

(5)  Database Optimization

(6)  Content Delivery Network

(7)    Lightweight And Speed Optimized Server

(8)    Reduce Redirects

(5)AMP Pages- AMP mean accelerated mobile pages. It is the simplest way to reduce page load time.  Google has also announced that websites having AMP pages will have a rank boost in Feb 2016 for more information read here.

I have used “Digital Marketing Academy”. Now when I will examine the statistics, I will see only Digital Marketing Academy email campaigns related data.
·         Campaign Medium: Campaign medium is the advertising medium. The channel you will be using is email, so I would suggest you to keep the channel medium as ‘email’.  I have used ‘blog’ as my campaign medium since it is fulfilling my purpose.
·
·         Campaign Term: You need to put some keyword terms in it which you must have been using. It is not mandatory to fill campaign term. You can operate your analytics without the campaign term as well.

I have filled “Google Analytic Tutorial” since my campaign is to take you through the guide to Google Analytics. You should fill it according to your suitability. Make sure you have carefully filled the campaign name as it will represent your campaign.

As soon as you have filled the entire form, click on the ‘Generate URL” button and your URL will be created. Now when you will send any message, the recipients will receive a ‘Linked Text’ and a ‘Linked URL’ in the mail. When they will click on the linked URL, their blowers will open the landing page that you have linked.

Keyword usage: Keyword and kewyword phrase is the basic of SEO. They need to be used smartly and optimally. So if it is not used properly or over used can put the site in the scoop of spamming. Below image will help you in understanding how to use the keyword

Term frequency- inverse: TF-IDF doesn't calculate how repeatedly a keyword occurs. It calculates the relevance of keyword phrase by analyzing it to the density of a term in a large set of documents.
Synonyms and close variant:  It means instead of sticking to a specific keyword, Use natural language and synonyms  for better SEO. Even google itself claims that 70 % of searches  is based on synonyms

An example is the query cat pics, which can mean the same thing as:

Cat Photos   • Pictures of Cats   • Cat Pictures   • Kitten Photos   • Cat Photographs

On the other hand, the query Cat Motion Picture means something else entirely, and it's important for search engines to know the difference.

So the conclusion is used variants and synonyms to boost your visibility.

Page segemenation: It basically means how you’re placing your content and key words on a web page. We all know, web pages are divided into various partitions like headers, footer and side bars. So always place your content and keywords in mind, body instead of other location such as side bars.
